Look at the error message you have been given. You have obviously made a change to the script (I haven't read through all the posts) and have done something wrong. That command/equation is not formatted correctly.

Get the demo of Awesome Light Effects and build upon it.

Yeah, just add Yami Core script and check out how it works.

If problem persists, change the Khas script as I told you.

DO NOT USE THE NEW DLL YET.

I don't know what else to suggest. This is my final shot. :(

It works perfectly for me.

Shaz,

The error messages were after I used his modified Khas script.

I was getting no error messages before it, other than the lantern flying. ah, I was also using vanilla Khas Script.

(With the 640x480 thing)

You can also see my load order to check if its not a problem with other scripts.

I set 640x480 in Yanfly and XaiL menu.

PS:

I'd like to state that this started to happen after I added this Yanfly Core script to fix the map problems, as the Yanfly Core Script centers the map (fixing the map repeating error) the lantern glitches.

Oh sorry....

My sincere apologies but it's late at night.

I use YAMI script. NOT YANFLY.

Remove Yanfly and see if it works.

Some scripts do not work together.

Gee we all missed that:

"Luna contains YAMI script  ;)"

Misread your OP.

So you Got Yanfly, XaiL and Khas Awesome Light Effects.

And Yanfly does the harm after it enters.

That's a start.

Ok post ALL the scripts involved into <code> Into spoiler for each.

Someone will come out and help you out for sure.

Again, my apologies.

How big is your actual map? This happens to me when I use Graphics.resize to enlarge the window, but don't enlarge my maps to cater for it. No scripts involved apart from the one-liner to change size.

Maybe you just need to make sure your map is enough tiles wide/high to fill the window size you've chosen (640x480 requires 20x15)?

Well, sorry for telling you that, but you are gonna have to try removing scripts one by one.

Some of them conflict.

Find the one that does that, and then come again and ask how someone can make them work together.

Good we got a lead!

Or maybe what Shaz said. Wow! Enlightening!

LOL your bug is funny. It is annoying indeed but still funny.

Trolling bed!  :troll:

Holy Potatoes!

It worked.

Even with the Yanfly script! But the players will be able to see the textures outside.

Also, how do I make shadows appear instantly? when i load a map or something it takes about a second for the shadows to take place, and this let players

see everywhere.

Use a parallel process event instead of an autorun event.

Parallel process events run as soon as the map is loaded, before the screen fades back in. Autorun events run after the screen has faded in. So anything you want to happen without players seeing it, should go into a parallel process event (that erases itself immediately after).

Use blank or black tiles and center your map.

You can make a black border.

If not, you can do what   :ninja:   @Shaz :ninja:   told ya.

@Shaz I leave it to you, I have far less experience than you anyway.

It is way faster now. Thanks

so with this thread I managed to fix the trolling bed, if you prefer and the flying lantern! This is awesome!

Thanks

Last question:

How do I stop light from getting through the walls?

Depending on your lighting script - it might be a case of setting up a specific terrain tags for the tops of walls, or just changing your image, if you're using a Show Picture command for the light/shadows.

@Dreadshadow, nope, I've never used lighting scripts. I'm only going by what I've read when people ask questions about them. And I recognized the glitchy movement when I caught a glimpse of the video posted.

That's the point. I have some experience on light effect scripts but not so many on the others. :p

Ok let me come in to finish that.

Khas Instruction 6. Read it. It's in the script.

Terrain TAG 5,6,7 On Database Tileset configurations. Where you configure passability.

The rest is 0.

I don't remember what is what. Try it out. 5,6,7 wall, block, roof.

Tweak your tileset.

Make it work correct.

Enjoy!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
