How the story begins...

Searching for a place to work, YOU(player) find an intriguing job advertisement offering an excessively high salary. Doubtful but desperate, you decide to take a shot. After receiving a letter of request for an interview, you head to a mansion to discover a surprisingly neat workplace, weird work rules, and suspicious co-workers. You get the job offer on-the-spot, and though being quite suspicious, you take the offer. Your job starts tomorrow night.

As a new employee of the mansion, you(player) feel nervous and somewhat suspicious to get such a high salary on a trivial job. It seems that the butler is the kind of person who sticks strictly to the rules, so you'd better not tell her that you lost your work regulations on the first day of work.

<Alexis, the Butler>
With the owner of the mansion absent, Alexis appears to be the head of the employees. She is the one who interviewed and hired you on-the-spot. You don't get 'the potential' she saw, but it feels good to have someone believe in you. Perhaps you might want to meet her expectations, but how?

<Ruth, the Repair Technician>
Ruth works as an engineer and also a gardener. She usually stays in the backyard in the afternoon and the front garden at night. In maintenance emergencies, you may call on Ruth. She will be happy to help you.

<Pam, the Housekeeper >
Pam does the laundry, dusts furniture, and sweeps floors. Since she basically does most of the cleaning, Pam is always working, everywhere, day and night. Don't be too nosy about other people's businesses -- Pam may be watching you.

Greta prepares from breakfast to dinner for all the employees. Her soup is one of the best you've ever had. She is loving and caring but there are some ground rules in her kitchen. She will be furious if she notices someone in her pantry, for instance. No one is allowed there. I dare you to try.

<Colin, the Errand Girl>
Colin seems a little young to be working. Still, she is ready to help, determined to be a full-time hard-working employee. Though she often falls asleep during the day, she is trying her best as a proud member of the mansion.

You are told that the owner of the mansion, Lady Jane, is currently on vacation. But if she really is, then why are the employees all avoiding talking about her whereabouts?

We're not sure when the demo will be up.
Most of the graphic works are done but there were some changes to the core game system lately, so we now have more to do before we make the demo.
We'll let you know when we have a demo for you to play! :)

I love the maps and the lighting, it truly capture the horror feel.
My favorite is the library, it has the Silent Hill vibe. :D

Looking nice! Are the floors made up of tiles? Or parallax? Cause it looks really good and I'm having trouble with making my floors look good XD Nice logo too!

Floors are parallax!
I picked up some nice floor tiles from Ayene and Avery and changed them to look different and to suit our other maps.
I usually work in photoshop. Glad that you like it! :)

by any change I got playtest? or was it something else? I cannot recall it though?
or some help else where?

anyway, I'm looking forward of the demo (although, I'm not really a horror fan)
except for the "Alien Isolation" the "Resindent Evil" (some of it) dont know all of them.

but keep up the nice work though :)

When I first came here to get some help, I was a starter and I didn't know anything about plugins or scripts. (still don't know much haha)
And I remember you replying to my posts and I got so much advice and many ideas to develop my project.
Recently you helped me with the save screen with TSR.
I just wanted to mention the help I've got.
I don't know how the special thanks section is supposed to work, so tell me if you don't want your name on it or if this is inappropriate.
By the way, thanks for all the help! :)

so far I know, special thanks can be used like helping on stuff, coding, get things
to work, fix or modify problems so it will be smoothly etc.

than you have playtesters (if you want to call it this way or bug squashers)

some have alpha testers, beta testers, public release 1.0 etc
some just add the bug quashers and final release playtesters or the one
that beat the game and a section of 100% completion.

How yo uset it up is entirely up to you.
as for tileset, plugins, it need a place inside your game (mostly credits).

I help where I can help, modify the code is something I dont do unless it's very
minor and reconizeable, but I still struggle with it :)

JS isn't that easy if you are a beginner compared to someone that studies
JS and know the program very good to manipulate many things :)

Hey guys!
There was a minor change in the plot, which isn't that crucial to the main story but left us a lot to mend.
We've re-done the lightings, redeemed the puzzles, and added more interesting events.
Also, we finally finished making the title screen and most importantly, translated all the texts!!
Well not all actually, but at least it's enough for the demo! :)
We are planning to release it tomorrow! YEAH!!!!
Be back with a demo soon - a little short but long enough for you to understand how the game will continue.

everyone learns (I learn from others) so those can be used for advice :)
but like I said "Special Thanks" can be alot of things, you can even
categories it as well (sounds, helping hands, modifications, etc etc)
outside regular tilesets, anyone that mostly help you on things basicly.

but while everyone use it differently, everyone categories their own credits
in the way they see fit, so just do the same, if people complain, or suggestion,
feedback etc, you can do what you want, like:

1) keep it the way it is,
2) make minor changes so both are happy (your way and their way)
3) major overhaul of all feedbacks/suggestions.
4) throw their feedbacks/suggestions away (almost the same as 1)

but maybe I try your game out again if not done yet already :)

Just downloaded the demo and boy howdy are my arms tired (???) :kaohi:
I just watched a trailer for the upcoming 2021 JRPG Fantasian. They demonstrated an interesting mechanic where random encounters can be sent to a stockpile instead of fighting them right away, which can be emptied in a single battle string at the player's choice of timing.
