I have mixed feelings about MZ

So i have put about 250+ hours into MZ so far, and in all honestly in the beginning i was excited and optimistic about the new engine i liked the idea of using particles, i liked the cleaner more mobile friendly UI. But as i started using it more i am a little disappointed honestly. I still prefer it over MV is many ways but the part i find most disappointing is how we are still
need to use plugins for basic things that should honestly be integrated into these new engines they build and the sad part is some of these plugins are still not avilable for MZ. Sometimes i feel there i no point to MZ, but at the same time there are some really cool things about it.

I really hope that what ever engine they are cooking up next really is a game changer.

Can you list a few of these "basic things"? Just curious, since I've seen actually kind of different takes on what people think should be in the core still.

For me it's the following basic stuff I think should be in the core: 1. exit to desktop button when running in nw.js/desktop version (including entry on "Terms" database page to name it), 2. old animation system since I don't think that should need an external program and effekseer appears to perform poorly on mobile, 3. support for tilesets with different resolutions in the editor and engine (like 32x32), 4. minor things that are just annoying to need to patch like F11 should toggle fullscreen in addition to F4, F5 should not reload the game without a warning if not in playtest mode, WSADE should map to cursor up/down/left/right and return, the touch UI option should be an editor/game creator setting and not an ingame setting, and MZ's new half-transparent UI windows should be a "System" database option since it doesn't fit with all window skins.

What is it for you?

I think most people finish the 5 stages of grief about MZ directions. [denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance]. Also if you see the bug and want to create a suggestion, you can if you wish.

Enough of my psychology mumble...
1. Effekseer is great like a photoshop or a blender any software if you know to use it will be great if. But, we are not getting used to it and it will cost learning time lol which we can use to make the RPG Maker games lol. I like the MV animation because it is easy to make even I can make it. However, I just use the community to create a particle effect animation.
2. I am really happy with the stabilization and fast load time of MZ compare to MV.
3. The temporary downside of any new software like MZ is the lack of features when more MV plugin port over MZ like the Community lighting plugin lol. The devs will have more tools to play with and be happy I hope.

in my laptop somehow the performance is not 'stable'... SOMETIMES when i playtest some blank project it will drop the FPS to 40fps average... it make worse in VisuStella sample project... i once got 20-30fps... and in battle even got choppy at <20fps...
but it only happen sometimes... not always... mostly it run fine at 60fps... but those 'sometimes' really make me doubt the 'stabilization' aspect... and i did not open any program beside the sublime text i use to code my plugins...

sometimes it also failed to load... and show some error like this:
bug mz.png

my laptop have i7 processor 8gb ram... (using windows 7 64bit so 8gb is enough ram)... and MV never have that issue before... so in my case STABLE is definitely is NOT happening in MZ...

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
