EDIT - I SOLVED MY OWN PROBLEM (Feel free to delete this post)
When Arek was added to the party after the Name Input Process, I had the initialize box checked.
Sorry about the wasted thread folks!
Hello everyone,
I'm having an issue with the name input processing command and it's not something as simple as I don't understand how to use it (unless I'm overlooking something). Allow me to explain:
I have character number 013: Arek as my starting party actor. I've made it so when the game first starts it autoruns an event that eventually leads to name input processing for Arek, and then you soon gain control of the character Arek and can also soon talk to an NPC who refers to Arek in text.
The problem is, no matter what you change the name to, Arek stays Arek. It shows up in the menu that way and it shows up in text that way.
I've made sure that for the name input processing (NIP) command I've selected the 013th actor Arek. His picture and his name come up on the NIP screen, but regardless of what I change his name to it's always Arek.
I can't find an answer to my problem anywhere. It seems like it's just not working.
I'm sure I have the correct actor selected for NIP. For in text, I've tried using \n[13] and \n[013] and both work but they show up the name as Arek. And as I've said, the menu displays his name as Arek so it's not an error in my in-text \n[x] 'code'.
If anyone can help me I'll be very grateful. If needed I can post screenshots.
