@TeiRaven
And congratulations to you too! Man, I'm jealous of the commitment you and @Marsigne managed during this November. Mostly because I didn't manage, but oh well. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger... or something? I surely hope so because then I'm on my way to be the worlds strongest any day now! :kaojoy:And I'm very glad that you two made it at the very least.

I've never heard of NaNoWriMo Camp or anything? I only just found out about NaNoWriMo a day or so before I created this thread. It's very new to me, and so is writing this kind of fiction. Given I've written "a lot" of stuff before, dialogue included, I've never really written anything like a book so the process have been slow but I've learned a lot.
Anyway, I'll look into what it is. Any excuse to inspire me to write more sounds interesting... And so does the NaNoWriMo RPG, that's an RPGmaker game the world needs! Maybe it's something that should be made as a joint project or something? :kaopride:

@Marquise*
I feel you. I too had (several) real life problems to take care of this month, but at the same time I don't want to use them as excuses for myself. It wasn't a perfect month for me to write, that's no lie. But could I have done better? Yeah, of course I could! ....damn perfectionist monster!
..ah... Not you! I'm talking to the one inside my head. :kaoswt:

But for what it's worth. I'm going to go out guns blazing! If you have the time to spare today, would you join me @Marquise* ?:kaolivid:It's more or less humanly impossible for me to make the 50k mark since there is ~7 hours left until December... and I also have a cold which have kept me in bed for two days now (although it's getting better now). That being said, even though I won't make the 50k and I can't (and probably shouldn't) write for 7 hours straight - how much can I manage in these last hours? I dunno, let's find out (after the deadline)!

mmrrrRRAARRRRGGH! (Desperate battle cry of a wounded hero... charging into battle.)

@Parallax Panda well last time I did something like 2000 (I had in memory an additional 0 but that is impossible) in 3 days straight. I was thinking of laying down the structure of my story before the void would swallow its memory. :D So next year I can return and give it a try. (I was to do a lot of artivity at the same time this month and this NaNoWriMo felt like a sweet perfume on my stinking long time at doing insanely big giant sprites! XD Too bad 3 small bedbugs just threw that away. )

@Parallax Panda It was 5 hours, indeed. I do stop sometimes to think or to fix a badly written word. I don't stop to write a character or place though, I just go with instant placeholders. XD I quickly keep going after stopping, though. And most of my thinking comes from the moment, as in thinking while writing, since I'm going the pantser route.

@TeiRaven I participated in the two last Camp NaNoWriMos and considered to participate in the upcoming ones, so you can say I'm an active member of there. The last one I failed miserably, sadly, due to getting demotivated and having stress about what to write. Both were 10k.

Thanks!

(Sounds like a good idea, although I'm not that good at making RPG systems. XD)

Whew. Wrote for almost 12 hours straight, with the most of break being like 15 mins. I'll definitely go to a store or something to celebrate. XD

Last day I managed to write... a few hundred words. I guess my battle cry didn't help as much as I thought it would, maybe I need to practice and prepare a more fearsome roar for 2018? Or maybe I just need to learn to somehow write when I don't know what to write?

@Marquise*
I have a feeling you and me will get the chance to take our revenge next year! :kaopride:
It probably is a good idea to lay down the rough structure of the story first. What I learned this year is I'm NOT a "pantser".
No matter how many words you ended up with, remember that it's still a success since it's probably more than you would have written otherwise!

@Marsigne
Well done, how many words did you end up with? ...And in the end, did you write end? :kaojoy:
I'm a little envious that you seem to be able to write so freely and quickly, but I guess we all have our own problems to deal with when it comes writing. More practice is really the only thing one can do about it.

And by the way, thanks for participating in this thread during this November you guys!:kaoluv:

@Marsigne Aww that is so cool to be so prolific in writing! Do you publish that somewhere? You deserves some ice cream! And a nice Christmas.

@Parallax Panda Yeah! If the Lord permits we will! ^^ In the meanwhile, enjoy the Holidays.

Happy Holidays everyone!

@Parallax Panda I made the 100k I wanted xD I didn't write The End, though. Kinda forgot to do that, but I'd need to make a closure, so I'll do that once people want to read the story. xD

Well, I used to struggle a lot in the beginning, then got more used to writing spontaneously as the days passed. I was also training with the keyboard so I could write faster, and that definitely helped me in not getting tired when writing that much, at least in the writing style that I was doing.

You're welcome! Looking forward to seeing you on the next NaNo thread.

@Marquise* Thanks ^-^ I haven't published much, but I have published some chapters on sta.sh. I can PM them if you'd like.

Likewise!
