I'm trying to make my own music for my game...but I'm no music major or even a minor. I can't really work in Garage Band...does anyone know of a easy music maker program? Like one that just allows me to bang away at keys?

(I don't mean that's the music I'm going to make is going to be random keys, I'm just joking. But I do need to practice)

How about FL Studio(if it's available for your system)?

Otherwise, I'd highly recommend you learn how to produce music. It's difficult at first, but once you get around the various concepts and actually start practicing, you can let your creativity do the rest of the learning.

One book I recommend you read is "Writing Music for Hit Songs" by Jai Josefs. It teaches a lot from the ground up.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen any software that can do the heavy lifting for you. You either learn how it's done, but some music resources or hire a producer.

The program I use is called LMMS (Linux Multi Media Studio) and it's really nice for just quickly getting something down. Its what I use if I have a melody or progression in my head I want to put somewhere so I don't forget it, and I can still come back later and turn it into something finished.

Depending upon what sort of music you want, a free way of doing it would be to utilise something like Audacity with some VSTs - you can utilise the synths in the latter and record and so forth with the former.

If you have Android you can use Caustic, which is a great little app with a free version, and the paid version is not unreasonable.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
