Need a little help getting started in RPG Maker MV

Hello all! I could really really use some assistance here. First let me give you a little background, I am a professional web abbs developer and have been for over 10 years, so things like javascripts dont scare me. I havw a tiny nit of experience in regards to game develoopmenent, butr not a whole lot.

 

Now i want to make a game with the newely released RPG Maker MV, which i have purchased and use the art pack i found on your website http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/a/graphics/mythos-horror-resource-pack 

 

Now i have no idea where to get started so i can start tackling this problem piece by piece. are the RPG Maker VX Ace tutorial goods good enoughtto get you going in MV? If not could you guyd point me where?

From my brief efforts of doing a little bit of this and that with RPG Maker MV I can say that the eventing system is pretty similar to Ace - at least the basics are the same. Same goes for editing database, they are very very similar - though there are some differences. So just for learning basics, Ace tutorials can give you a great starting point (as there ain't so many MV specific tutorials yet). You can find MV tutorials for importing and re-sizing your resources. Hovering over stuff in the database etc. also gives you explanations about things, so you can figure many things out by yourself too.

Please follow the link in my signature to the starting point tutorial - while that was written for Ace, 99% of MV is identical as long as you stay above scripting levels.
