I need a plugin to display a variable in a window, particularly during a number entry. I have an event set up to act as a Gold Vault where you can withdraw & deposit gold. It's important that the player knows how much is stored in the vault (variable) when entering the withdrawal amount, other wise they might end up accidentally enter a higher amount than what's already there & getting a message saying that they don't have that much stored. And some players like me might have bad short-term memory & can't remember how much is there.

It would be nice to also display a icon before the variable as well. I hope someone can help me with this.

Hover over the Textbox Eventcommand, a pop up with Help Info should apear.
You got code to insert the variable value into the textbox, also icons are possible, atleast in vx-ace.
You can also combine the show text with the input number command (just put the eventcommands directly below each other)
And the Textbox and input number should apear simultaneusly.

This should help you make the mechanic work.

And what does F9 do besides showing a list of the switch and variable values?
Or am i missing something?

I don't know where you got that idea but it doesn't work. I tried putting a text box before the number entry & after & in both tries they do not appear simultaneously!
In fact, how the heck can you 'combine commands' anyway. You choose 1 event command & it gets put on the event page. There's no option to combine commands into 1 entry.

Stop spamming! Next time I'll report you!

You can use this. Make a simple HUD for your partygold (the default for one of the text options, I believe) and tie it to a switch that gets flipped when you open the vault screen.

That seems like a complicated means to setup a simple variable window (not Party Gold). I'll give it a try anyway.

@Animebryan very simple request you have here; this is like a fifteen minute job. what is the maximum value (maximum gold) that can be displayed within this window at any given time (this needs to be addressed to decide how to handle window width)? is it the same as the default max gold?

@Animebryan while i lay the foundation for this, please think of any features you want included; i.e. plugin commands to position the window, etc?

A setting for positioning the window would help (since it needs to be displayed during a 'number input' event (don't want it positioned over the number entry window). Perhaps the option to display a icon before the variable as well. That about all I need really.

It is for something that simple but chances are, you'll find other uses for it as time goes on. I was just throwing out there, though.

@Animebryan LOL, this turned out much more powerful than you need, but i have seen a lot of requests for variable value display windows and i just decided to make this as versatile as possible. let me know if you have questions.

It works. There's just 2 things I need. Can you make a plugin parameter to change the font size? Also, can you set the numbers to use commas every 3 digits? Because I have Yanfly's Core Engine which adds them as separators.

Woke up in the middle of the night with some game mechanic ideas. Unfortunately, they're for a new game, not the one I'm currently working on. Must... not... get... distracted!
I'm wondering about making a new pack of monsters or just divide them and add to my current packs. I'll end up having like 10+ packs If I just have 27 per pack xD

I just whipped up the blueprints for the final level in my game. (I say final, when really there is a final boss stage after this, but it's only like two maps long)
