Hello, I have an idea for a great game. It will be similar to Pokemon.
I vision being able to recruit monsters in my world. I would like to walk around as my main character,
and have a party consisting of Me, and my monsters.
I want the main character unable to be attacked, but able to use potions on my monsters.
I want the battle to end when all my 1-3 monsters are defeated, even whilst the main character is still alive.
I know how to recruit the monsters, and how to create them. But can I do the rest?
And can someone point me to the right tutorial?

You'll need many scripts to do this, and as far as I know most of them do not exist yet. Specifically you will need a script to handle what you want for the main character, and to adjust the battle system so it is over if the MC is the only one left. So afraid it isn't as simple as find a tutorial for this one as you need to redesign the engine to do what you want.

there are some scripts that can help you if you're willing to think outside the box.
For example there is one called Aeon Party (might be spelled differently) on the Ace master script list.

For preventing your character from being attacked, you can use this script: http://himeworks.com/2013/05/untargetable-state/
Just give the character the state permanently.

For making the battle end, make a conditional branch in the game troop, choose script and write $game_party.alive_members.size == 1
Then inside the conditional branch you place an end battle event, or game over, or you make him lose the battle or whatever you want. This will end the battle whenever there is only one character reamaining, whoever that is. I take your character isn't going to die, is he? You place the event in the first troop and it runs in every troop.

what do you mean make a conditional branch in the game troop, i tried to follow those instructions but i dont understand. i have the first script tho!

this sounds as if you're relatively new to RPG-Makers and game development.
If that is the case I suggest you temporarily stop working on your game and take a month or so to work through the tutorials with a scrap project that you can delete after that.

If you follow the link "starting point for new users" in my signature, that tutorial will guide you through the basics.

Because you'll need to know the basics of RM to be able to work effectively, and with those basics you should have had no problems following the hints we gave.

I fully agree with Andar. I will try to explain, but you could really use those tutorials.

Since you say you know how to make the monsters, I take you've already been using the database, haven't you? If you click on "troops" in the database, you will notice there is a part of the window where you can program events. You follow me this far?

Couldn't you use a State similar to Death for this?

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
