I really want to create a boss fight in my RPG game I am making. But theres a certain type of road block... I want to reenact the battle with Galuf and Exdeath in FFV. Where Galuf cannot die, I want to try making that but I tried making the death state auto remove when it gets inflicted on the only party member of the battle. but that doesnt work, Then I tried an autolife state, Didnt work. So I looked it up on google and the forums, Nothing. Im at a loss here. I am using this battle script: RPG Tankentai SBS 3.4e + ATB 1.2c Kaduki.

And some of Yanfly's Scripts to add a battle aftermath and menu tweaks.

I need to have a single actor be immortal for the entire fight until the boss loses all HP then dies. All help will be appeciated :)

Edit: I am using Rpg maker Vx. Not Ace. Apologies if I didnt clarify...

Try creating a state with the feature "State resist: death", and then give that state to the actor you want to be immortal.

Edit: just noticed there's already a state like that in the default database, it's called "Immortal", ID 010.

Re-edit: whoooops, you're right, I thought to be in VX Ace section, my bad.

When you're in the troops menu of the database, just right-click on the enemy you desire to make unkillable, and an immortal option will appear that you can click.

Unfortunately Im talking about the actors, not the enemies.

You can add the same state to an actor. Just use the Change States command.

After clearing up that this is for VX, not Ace, as edited into first topic

Sorry - that's my fault. I saw the edit and misread it. My apologies for that.

You could try this script command:

$game_actors[ID].immortal = true/false

I didn't test if it works with your battle system though.

Changing the "immortal" flag does not add/remove the "Death" state automatically, even though the actor will get correctly counted as "dead".

Thanks. I will try that but ATM the laptop that I use is undergoing repairs. I will try that as soon as it gets fixed and I will tell you if it works. :)

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
