Need Help Eventing a custom character select screen after main menu

I am just curious about something.

In RMVX ACE, i made a custom title screen. i also need to make a custom Character select screen without any scripting. i already have all the scripts i think i need, so can someone give me an idea for a simple character select menu event?
i have it basically set up, but the event will not transfer to the main storyline of either character. can someone help me event one that works?

this is the way its set up right now... it wont let me transfer the player to the backstory of either character.

i saw and adjusted the parts where it was messed up and still no fix...
