Hello all I need some help with some bits
I am new to rpg maker but I am trying my best to make something that's beyond normal RPG Maker affair.
I am working on parrallax maps for my project and I've found some great tutorials for them. The person I saw use them said about using plugins yanfly region and TDD's bind picture to map. I am going to use this method unless anyone here knows an alternative and could link me to the plugin that would be great.
The second thing is that I want to be able to completely change the menu UI, I am not sure how to go about it, I currently have mogs plugin for battles so I have a nice battle hud (I went into PS and customised shapes and colours to make them unique it was more a template to follow) but when I access things like party member swap screen and status and (I have yanflys plugins for those features) and the menu when in the game are all sort of stock rpg maker stuff and I want to be able to change it but don't know where to go or what to change to sort of alter it.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
