Need help with an event

So basically all i want to do is make it so when i talk to a person, he will give you an axe (not a item axe but just so you can cut down a tree to get past). so after he gives you the axe, you will return to the place where you couldn't get past before and now when you walk up to the tree, i want to be able to use the Action button to make the tree disappear then a text bow will tell you that you have cut down the tree. I don't want to get any wood or anything just want the tree to disappear.
