Need help with parallel text event

Hi, so I'm trying to make an event which is basically a few people talking in the "background" while the player character can freely walk around and their speech is still displayed as a normal text event.
I tried to use an event with parallel trigger but it just doesn't display the text. I tried it with different switches but I run out of ideas.
Does anybody have an idea how to do this or what am I doing wrong?

Your images are not showing up, at least for me. Could you edit your post and reload them - maybe use the 'Upload a File' button at the bottom of your post?

It doesn't look like your autorun event ends. Try using erase event, or turn on a self switch that links to a blank page to end it.

And you might have to use a plugin to be able to move around during a text event.

For the parallel process event, the game prioritize higher number page. The second page condition probably active. Delete the second page. If the second page is important, swap the content with page 1.

Also I must say, your attempt to make the event auto-talk might cause the player to wait for the message to end first instead of the player leisurely walking... even by using parallel process, the game interpreter will stop running until the show text event end. Is that okay with you?

Thank you, you were right, I just made a blank map with only one parallel process and couldn't move the character while it was running.

So is there an easy way to do something like that?

The autorun event ends, that's not the problem, it's just that the parallel event doesn't start when the switch is on.
As I replied to Koru it seems the engine is incapable of showing text and letting the player walk around (freely, not as autorun) at the same time.

What kind of plugin do you mean? I just started working with MV recently and a bit clueless :D
