need help with tilesets

Hi all,

this is my first time trying to get a tile set created, so i got afew items, 1 floor tile, and some pillars, flags etc in 1 tile sheet. i put in under slot B.

however if i want to place a tile over the current tile, it will create a white space as show in the photo. it is fine if separated.

what am i doing wrong, and what should i do?

Floor tiles typically go in the A tiles. A tiles create one layer. B-E tiles are drawn on top of them. In MV, you can only put 2 layers of B-E tiles on top of each other.

So what is happening, since you have the floor tiles in B-E, is the floor tile counts as 1 layer, the next object counts as the second layer, so when you place the third object, it is erasing the 1st "object", the floor.

If your floor tile is not an autotile, put in sheet A5.

oh i see, thanks for the reply. hmm seems the limitation is very bad. means i am forced to get tiles that can work in a1-a5?

how do i remove a tile after i have placed it for awhile? seems to be no eraser.

No, it means you put floor tiles into the A1-A5 slots - tiles that have no transparency.  And tiles that have transparency go in the B-E tiles.

The top left tile in the B tab is the 'eraser' tile.  It only removes the upper layer tiles.  To get rid of a lower layer tile, you have to replace it with another tile.

Now i have a better understanding for mapping tiles. Was so weird.

Someone might make a plugin that will allow you to have more, but the editor itself will not be changed, so if that were to happen, you would have to make your maps in an external editor.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
