Need help with Victory Aftermath (Arrow fixes not working)

Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a bind here so I'll keep this as detailed and brief as possible.

I'm using Yanfly's Victory Aftermath script and I'm running into an issue with it whenever a character levels up.

Basically it writes out the stat changes like this:

Level            1 ]" 2

Max HP     352 ]" 398

Attack        12 ]" 14

and so forth, where there should be an arrow there. ( -> instead of  ]" )

I have checked out the pinned fixes for this and have used the Linebreak Glyph Fix posted there to no avail. I should

mention that I am not using any special font, just the default that comes with RPGMaker VX Ace.

What's also interesting is that arrows work fine in the equipment screen, so it's not a fault of the font. I have not

tampered with the Aftermath script in any way and I'm completely puzzled as to why it's doing this.

I will list off a set of scripts I'm using in case there are any known conflicts, but to my knowledge I haven't found any yet:

* Fullscreen++

* MOG - Battler Motion

* Galv's Menus

* Yanfly Stealing Skill

* YEA - Core Engine

* Custom Map effects

I suspect it IS a problem with the font - the arrow in the equip screen and the arrow in the victory aftermath screen either aren't the same, or those two windows are not using the same font.


Is the equipment screen the default one?

This problem usually occurs if you are using a custom font. Many fonts dont have the arrow symbol in them.

I had the same issue and just switched the arrow for the ">" sign which worked just fine.

I am not using a custom font, that I can promise. It's the default font. In no location in any part of my game do I use any other font, so this is somewhat... confusing.

I won't call this solved, but it is resolved. I snagged the same script from my buddy on his game and for some reason it works. But here's the kicker, the script I used

was fresh out of the download. Something else had to have been modified but I'm not quite sure.

If it's alright, the only other issue I can work around now is how to get the item screen to stop showing up when no items are obtained. It's certainly weird to have the

characters brag about the loot that isn't there.

YOU may not have set up any other fonts, but it's entirely possible that one of the scripts you're using has set them up. Your buddy may have just obtained a version that uses the same fonts as Ace by default for that particular script.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
