Need help with yanfly's Input Combo Skills

I kind of need a guide or tutorial to activate the script.
I can't find anything online that will really help me activate it, the tutorials/guides for it are non-existant.
I've been using RPG Maker VX Ace for like 2 weeks now and I've learned quite a bit on how to do things.
Back on topic uhh my wording is not really good so I'll try to word this out neatly as possible,
I want to make an actor that knows how to do Input Combo Skills and only that actor but no matter what I do it won't activate I tried creating a new Weapon type, weapons and put the
<combo skill L: x> thing in the notes of the skills and weapons, I am very confused and kind of have a learning difficulty.
I don't know what to do so I made an account to ask for help :/

I suggest that you get more familiar with the engine and how it works first... 


anyway, did you put just <combo skill L: x> in there? That will not work because you need to change X to the skill ID of the skill that you want the L button to activate. And the actor does not need to have learned that skill first as per Yanfly's page. But your actor needs to have enough MP or whatever resource is needed


Also, the notetag <combo skill : x> only works with skills, you can't put it on a weapon and expect it to work. 


Basically what the script does is that if you tag a skill with that notetag, when you use the skill, it opens the combo "window" afterwards so that you can combo the listed skills after using that skill


So for example:


I tag my skill named Fire with


<combo skill L: 11>


<combo skill R: 12>


Whenever I use Fire, it opens the combo "window" after so that I can use either Skill 11 or Skill 12 right away


Also, make sure you're testing it from a new game rather than loading a save file made before the script is added

Yes, I did change X to the number ID of the skill and I've been putting in the <combo skill L: x> stuff in the note boxes of the skills I want to use for that actor, Question: do I put all of the <combo skill L: x> <combo skill R: x> etc. in every notebox or just the one?

And I've been using Troops battle tests to see if it will work but every time I try it, it doesn't work.


I don't know how to activate input combo skills for that actor yet.


And sorry I'm still very confused even after reading your example.

That's why my very first suggestion is for you to familiarize yourself first with the engine (and game development itself) more..


You would put the combo skill tag on the skill which is meant to activate the combo.... See the example I wrote above.


In your own screenshot, that means that if the actor uses Right Punch skill, the combo window will then appear and he can choose any of those 4 other abilities to combo


Also, please try using a battle in the game using the New Game option. Battle tests don't capture the changes that you make unless you hit save button first before testing, and there are some scripts that doesn't load correctly on battle test.


Lastly, what other scripts do you have in your game?

Another one of Yanfly's scripts which makes Battle HUD look a bit different and shows enemies attack animations, and a script that plays sound when text is being displayed in messages.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
