I am making a Game where Player ascends a Tower with many Floors. I'm looking for a way to display Progression on each Floor. What i mean is something like a Visual Representation or some other way to make the Player aware of Current Floor and perhaps the Next Floor they climb to.

Any Ideas on how i can achieve this ?

You could use one of the plugins that draw text on the screen. And then show a variable that stores the floor number. Next floor is just current floor+1 so you just need one variable.

similair like Summon Knight Sword Story 1?

that has some progression in the tower to grind materials but you cant go deeper
unless you have an different sword or main quest compleeted.

you can find a trailer of it to see if its something you seek?

I meant something very simple outside of the actual Tower Floors, like a Visual way to represent Tower Progression (Imagine any way of showing the Character moving from Floor 1 to Floor 2 or some way to signify this).

It doesn't have to be some visual on the Floors themselves. I needed ideas on what way i could show Progression.

Example 1:
upper left corner: Floor 1 (next floor) Floor 2, etc?

Example 2:
Tower Progression x% (last floor being 100% (or when compleeted))

Example 3:
Stair movement to the next floor?

Example 4:
Tower image, light up Tower Floor

top light up, floor 20-25
middle: floor 10-20
bottom: floor 0-10

or a similair hud on map?

Thanks for the examples, those are all nice ideas, Yes i was looking for ideas like these. Just simple Visual ideas to show Progression. Doesn't matter what they really are, As long as Player gets a sense of Progression and not just Screen Fade Out and Screen Fade into the next Floor.

A Progression Window is Great idea too, Thanks. I also like your Idea of a Visual Image of a Tower Floor lighting up, Sounds really cool when imagining it. I wonder if i will be able to do something so complex though

You could also represent the tower as a vertical gauge that slowly fills up.

gauge fill up by a variable, or a tower with 4-5-6 on top of each other,
you can event this or use SRD_HUDMaker, you can go many ways like this,
show floor, (you can use variable = x for floor up or down), create a tower
that light up on the floor (can be marked with a number within the tower)
any many more ways (SRD_HUDMaker require basic JS knowlege, so I know
how to achieve this though while my hud is more complex :)

But if you can create a sketch in what way to show it, I can help you set it up.

I recommend Orange Hud for this. And Orange Hud Gauge. It's easier to set up than SRD hud maker.

Have you tried using the "Display Name Field" for the map? It's a default RMMV feature. If you put a value in that field, it will be displayed whenever the player loads that map.

This is assuming that each floor of the tower is 1 map.

I would just use Show Picture event commands. Place a picture on one corner of the screen which shows an abstraction of the tower (perhaps just several rectangles that each represent a floor stacked on top of each other to look like a tower, or perhaps something more detailed), with the current floor lit up very brightly, and the floors you've already completed either in a different color or a different brightness than the floors you haven't reached yet. No need for HUD Makers or anything, although you could use them if you want to make something really complex.

If you ever show a full-screen (entire game window's height/width) representation of the player's progress through the tower, you could represent where they currently are with a picture of the player's character, or even with a walking sprite of the character.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
