I don't want my games fighting system to be like final fantasy, where a random encounter happens and you jump into battle mode and click fight, skills etc and take turns with the enemy fighting.... im not about that for this project.

I feel like this may be a difficult thing to put together, but I pretty much want it so the character youre playing as has to navigate through the place youre in and ill have random invisible events sliding around the place and if it touches you then itll appear and music plays and you have to press space to hit/shoot/cut it until it dies. and it can hit you too. You dont get brought into a battle rpg mode (or whatever its called lol) where you take turns with the enemy and party members... then when it dies  the music goes back to normal and itll go back to random invisible events roaming around until it touches you again.

I hope i was detailed enough, the fighting is like playing zelda or something where you just press space  to attack

You can try to use either of these Action Battle Systems (Khas' SAS, MOG's XAS or Falcao's Pearl) to handle the battle part... as for them appearing as invisible events first, well you can probably just event it...

search? try google or the VX Ace masterlist in the scripts section... AFAIK, Falcao's is the easiest to use

well, Active Battle Systems are quite lot of work to implement... take time to do it...

if you don't really know much of how RPG Maker works, I suggest practicing on a smaller project first that uses the default systems of the engine... and read Andar's tutorial...

Moving to RGSSx Script Support so you can get more help on the script.

Why? that's what self-switches are for, you usually don't need a single general switch when making an evented enemy, so that should not use up any of your regular switches.
i pretty much know the basics... switches, events etc. I just never worked with variables or scripts.
Variables are basic - and you won't be able to do any more compley quest (like counting a number of monsters to defeat) without knowing how to use variables.
Script use for most scripts is easy, just takes a bit of experimenting - the various action battle systems are probably the only big exceptions, because you usually need to setup a lot of data for them...

I suggest you take it step by step - either use regular ABS with visible enemies first to get some experience, or make your invisible event enemies with the regular battle system. Do not try to do everything at once, especially if you still have problems with part of the basics like variables.

you might want to play and check the variables guide, that is a game tutorial on this site where you learn how to use variables. you can search it, or go to the link in my signature (it's one of the tutorials linked there).
