Need some input on a possible map selling plan

I think anyone would be defensive about working for free Amerk. I don't know what you want me to say.

I have taken some valuabkle feedback from here, but it doesnt mean I will accept every single thing anyone thows my way if I don't agree with it.

I dunno, how would you feel if someone wanted you to work for like a buck an hour? I'm not here for that :/

And again, if someone's not into buying maps, THATS PERFECTLY FINE. It just means the service is not for you. A such I don't take the feedback from those people as strongly when it comes to prices specially, because they would not buy it anwyay.

As for the book: nice and all but you're assuming I could write it. I'm not paritcualrly good at teaching ~-~ It's not the sort of work that woudl be EASY for me. THis is all a side stuff for me to get by AS I WORK ON MY OWN PROJECT. I'm not asking for a full time project.

TL;DR: I have no reason to blindly accept evrythign thrown my way. Also already started the packs, I just haven't gotten enough yet to start the shop. That's all really.

Nobody said "work for free" or to "blindly take every idea", and I agree the $1 per maps was odd, although in fairness to him, he said basic. To me, that could mean throwing a quick map together without heavy details or events which can be done in about 30 minutes, although why somebody would pay for that when they can get much better for a few dollars more, I don't know.

However:

1. You can ignore or decline ideas with scoffing back at people. That just makes it hard for others to want to come here and offer you help or advice, or even to take this thread seriously.

2. If you're not interested in price suggestions, why ask this in the poll? You could have reduced your poll to one vote:

Minimum Price would be $5/Do you think this is a good idea?

And I have to ask. What does asking if it's a good idea accomplish? All that seemed to have done is get people to offer suggestions (map packs, a book, etc) which you apparently are not interested in to begin with.

You don't seem interested in changing the price or doing anything beyond single RTP maps, so this thread and poll doesn't appear to serve much of a purpose beyond a simple "yes I would buy it" "No I would not". It's a legitimate observation, because at this point I'm not sure what we're supposed to be discussing or posting here if you don't want to do anything more than what you initially set out to do, at the price you initially set.

I can only say "yeah, uh huh, I am not even going to go into that talk direction". Thanks for the interest but yeah, don't care into going into an argument over this.

Gona egt this closed sicne I already am in the process of making the packs. Thansk for the feedback peeps and look forward to it~ (Will proably be out in a week or two)
