I'm making this post on behalf of Aesica, who noticed that the database json files of newly created projects are not perfect copies of the json files in the program file's new data folder.

Even if you correct the "Daggars" in the newdata/.../weapons.json file, they'll still be misspelled when creating a new project.

After some tests on the newdata/data folder, I also notice that:
  • Deleting a data file (Actors.json) makes that file not appear in a new project.
  • Adding a file (test.txt) makes that new file appear in a new project.
  • Adding data to a new slot (actor ID 9) makes that data appear in the new project.
I'm guessing something similar applies to other file types (e.g. img/audio/movies/js).

Random useless fact of the day: All mushrooms are edible. Some however only once.

I like how in 2018 I was able to build a really good PC for less than 600 USD, with a 10 series GPU, which was the latest gen at the time. Now in 2023 for 650usd I can build something with a 20 series card, which is 4 years old and 2 gen behind now. Pc parts pricing is a complete mess nowadays.
