Howdy!

My name is Ultimate-Gamer. I'm pretty new to RPG Maker, but I got it several months ago and after a few youtube tutorials, I've had a pretty good time with it. I'm currently making a game for my wife. It's not super ambitious (other than sheer length which I'll probably cut down) but it's fun.

I basically thought that it might be a good idea to get some feedback, maybe some helpful tips before I get in too deep.

So yeah, that's me, I don't expect to be super active, but you'll probably see me around once in a while, mostly to ask a question or get feedback on my project.

That said, so that this thread isn't completely pointless, How's the community here? what do you all think are some good threads for a new guy like me to start reading?

See ya around!

Hey there! Welcome to the forums~

The community here is probably among the best I've encountered. Very helpful and usually pretty quick response times for questions. Just make sure you read the forum rules, and the specific subforum rules before you post in said subforums, to avoid giving the mods a headache :guffaw:

Some good threads...well..it depends on which version of RPG Maker you're using, but going to the Support subforum specific to your version can help answer a lot of questions. Game Mechanics Design is also a really good one to poke around in. Lots of good ideas to bounce around in that one. If you end up getting more into the forums, the off-topic stuff is pretty active. I don't often use those myself, but they seem like fun.

If you let us know which maker you're using, I can try to point out a few more specific threads for ya.

Have you tried looking at any of the sample maps? They're good for beginners because they have good layout and

usually have everything you need. They're good for lazy people like me who don't want to make a whole world.

Im nots saying your lazy. I'm lazy. Not you.

Welcome,

The community is pretty great with answering questions and someone is usually available to help with whatever problem you have. Good luck with your game, it's very sweet to make a game for your wife.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
The biggest debate we need to complete on which is better, Waffles or Pancakes?
