New forum skin (temporary beta)!

We now have a new forum skin to go with the fresh site look!
There is still the odd bug or two (or three) still, so please report any problems you have!
Changes and tweaks will be made tonight. Major changes that are needed will be patched sometime before then. In the mean time, suggestions are more than welcomed.
 

 
Because there are some issues that might bother some people until an update is made later today, I enabled the old theme that you can switch to temporarily. For now, consider this theme a public beta for a few hours, until things are completely finalized/polished up.

Also, Forum names weren't supposed to be bolded when marked as Read were they? As of now they're bolded all the time and it's a tiny bit misleading.

For now, look for the bold image icon next to the forum name for indication.

Definitely leave any suggestions as well as bugs. We're going to apply any changes that need to be done tonight.. for now though, I need some coffee.. I have other work to do, and in half an hour I have a baby that needs to be fed..

I'll give everyone the day to make any suggestions/report any bugs, and then tonight we'll get things updated.

Aside from unbolding read threads/forums, which you've noted to be fixed, looks great.  Hopefully the bugs are minimal, but if I see any, I'll be sending in my reports of them.

Other than that, as I said in your status, I'm totally for the new look and am glad the main site and forums are consistent.  Nice work! BD

It's...bright. Brighter than the previous forum skin.

The biggest difference to make it seem brighter is the lack of the old side black background. It's now white space, like the main page.. Color changes themselves as far as the forum goes are surprisingly not as much as you'd think. Adjustments will be made to make some things easier on the eyes. But a lot of it is the same old thing with maybe a few minor tweaks for visibility.

It too bright I can't even adapt with this a little not very easy with the eye., Can you make it a little darker or maybe let's us customize the forum (A lot of IP.Boards users do this. or a black theme. Thanks

But the good thing is I can fell that the design is good. (unlike the previous one)

Changes to bolding, etc, will make things a little easier on the eye. Other than that, not too much has changed.


The biggest difference is the old side background from the old site is now gone, replaced with white space to match the new site...


But we'll definitely make some changes to make it easier for you

Yup, there's probably some CSS stuff that needs to be changed to revert it. I'm also going to make sure the forums padding is changed back to the way it was previously. That should also make things easier on the eyes. I also noticed that line breaks can sometimes look funny.. Meaning there's an issue somewhere causing that as well. I think I thought of something to speed up load times. We'll get it taken care of as soon as possible.. The major things I'll try to push sooner, then we can do minor tweaks and any other suggestions tonight as planned. It was an all nighter on this, and I need to crash soon. When I wake up I'll make sure things are taken care of.

Pfft.  I like it.  I'm not switching back.  I will, however, wait for the fixes/improvements.  I dunno, I really like the look of the site, even though other don't.  I seem to adapt pretty quickly, plus I like the theme on the main site anyway and it works very well visually (for me).

Oddly enough, the color scheme hasn't changed at all except a couple font colors. Which are being changed and were done in error...

The only thing that's really all that different is the header and footer, and the old site side background isn't there. That thing that was about 30 pixels on each side. 

The actual forum post coloring's are exactly the same 

But yes, as said before, changes will be made so it's easier on the eyes
