Greetings, peoples!
I'm mostly a lurker, but I've been poking around the forums long enough since getting RMMV to warrant finally registering.

And so, I've found myself here with my obligatory introduction thread! \o/
My experience with various RMs stems from my childhood when the pirated RM2k(3) was a thing. It's amazing how far the community has come since then, and it's fantastic that the makers are officially localized! While I realize it may be considered old news, it still blows my mind. That being said, it's also a little sad to see older communities and resources steadily disappearing over time.
As to the extent of my experience, well... I've never completed a project! (Oops!) I'm the sort who likes to emulate things from games she likes, and then later abandon the project. >.> Commitment is hard! But, I do it for fun and as a hobby.

I think my favorite maker is probably 2k(3) because of the sheer simplicity of it, then XP because it was a pretty nice upgrade. Though, I think nostalgia is a huge part of it since XP was what helped me get out of my comfort zone and attempt some level of scripting, even if it was amateurish at best. It was cool to accomplish even basic edits to menus or otherwise.

But I really do like MV because there's so much you can do with it, even if I really can't get the hang of java. ^^;; I think the thing that throws me off is how large the tiles are, and as someone who enjoys pixel art, it's a bit intimidating creating character sets for 48x48 tiles when I am used to 16x16 or even 32x32 at most. @.@
