 I am trying to make a event that involves 2 monsters and a few Players/NPC's. The event in question is how to make it so that after a certain line of dialouge the 2 monsters teleport into the map and then have 2 NPC's move to them without need of battle, until the player executes a event to leave the map. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am still new to event making so I don't know how to do most advanced things, if there is a tutorial on how to do such a event then direct me in its way. Thank you for your time.

Have the monsters be in the map without graphics

Then use graphic change command during the right time to turn them into monsters

Then use move route command to move the two NPCs

One more suggestion: Experiment... try out things by yourself in order to accustom yourself to the editor...

if you would like to peek at a tut, the one on Switches in my signature should help.


But what might be tricky about your event is if you will not know where the NPCs are because they are walking around, so if you want them to WALK to the monsters, that is different from having them just be moved to where the monsters are.


For this reason it is a much easier eventing process if the NPCs are not moving.

That wouldn't work...

@strawberryjamboree:

Events don't have a graphic change command, you need to make events with several pages, one page without sprite to have the events hidden and in "standby" until the main event triggers and moves those events.

And please, put your question into the topic title - knowing that you have a new idea doesn't help us at all, we would like to know what you're looking for...

Sorry guys so this is what I have so far, problem is every time I start the game the enemies dialogue repeats.

Yes

"Break Loop" breaks a manual loop that you placed by the event command loop. It will NOT break the automatic loop of a parallel process.

To stop a parallel process from looping, you need to add another page to the event that isn't looping (best if there is no command on that page), condition it to a switch and activate that switch in place of the break loop command.

Just advertising that I released version 0.9 of my game yesterday, for feedback purposes. My first game or creative endeavor ever :D Would be cool if someone tries it out!
