The narrator begins his story of a family that moves in to a home. The Conway Family. The Heiress, Claire Richelieu, a beautiful woman with skin as pure as the moonlight, born of a wealthy family, is seen with a young man, known as Max Conway. The couple talk at a local restaurant, and as time progresses, are seen sitting along a lakeside. They confess their love for each other and Max asks Claire to be his beloved. [Transition to a hospital] where the Conway’s are adding one more to the family tree. Claire has a baby girl and, at the time, seems healthy and full of life. The only problem is that she is much paler than any of the other babies. [Transition a few months later], there is a problem with the baby’s health, she is dying of an unknown disease, many doctors are brought to the house. None can diagnose the problem. And the worst comes, the baby passes away. The mother becomes depressed and unresponsive, the father cannot understand why she is acting this way and tries his best to comfort her, but she rejects him. After a year, Claire begins witchcraft, praying to demons beyond her knowledge to control, and the father becomes scared for his safety and leaves. Claire takes this betrayal and begins delving deeper into dark magic, she begins sacrifices. Small tokens, sentimental items at first, then live creatures. Missing cats and dogs posters begin to pop up like wildfire. The townsfolk begin to wonder about the woman who lives alone in the giant mansion. The children begin calling her the ‘Witch of Waxberry’. After 6 teens go missing in the woods near her home, the town becomes enraged and blames Claire. With torch in hand they burn the majestic Conway Mansion to the ground, fully knowing Mrs. Conway was still inside. Rumor has it a mother and a baby’s wail could be heard from the flame, and whispers in the wind: cautioning any trespassers from thereon out would be cursed and driven to madness.
