Could be Rpg maker DC, We haven't heard of that in a while. However software entry would be nice.
I was thinking the same thing.

Oh that reminds me, they were hiring for a Unity developer a while ago weren't they?
I think that's the reason for this rumor and who knows, but it doesn't fit really. As Deilin said already Unity is very pricy and and complex and Eb always made things very affordable and easy to use.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean they'll be implementing everything Unity has. Just the multiplatform and HD, most likely.

Yup unity went to monthly/yearly payment scheme I don't think enterbrain will go thru to this scheme or what I called "Indie developer Nightmare".

And I already mentioned about the upcoming rpg maker engine on the RM2003 discussed forums. So  I also been hyped up about it.

Beside I Don't know if there is a planned one since I don't herd a single press releases related to the new engine on my side.

Who knows.

That's because we're too busy talking about you behind your back in the special moderator forum only you don't have access to. I easily spend 50 hours a week in the "lol shaz" thread..
Poor shaz he cannot access his own thread on the moderator forums, hopefully I don't have my own thread back there lolz.

When the call for the unity programmer was made, it was also told that this was not about RM. If you check out Degica on Steam, you would see that while RM is a large part, it isn't everything they handle (for example A-Train and Manga Maker have nothing to do with the RPG Makers)

True, but they could still have asked for the occasional piece of help and advice from the said dev.

Edit: Never mind, the post I was quoting was made before the thing I was talking about happened. I misread the date.

Just in case anyone wasn't aware though, Unity is no longer pay-monthly. The free version of the editor is feature-complete and you only need a pro licence if your game makes $100,000 a year or more.

Degica does not have any connection with the development of the new RPG maker product, there just only here to translate and sell enterbrain's RPG maker products. There are only the distributors of the said product, they only work on English translation of the product and sometime with permission from enterbrain to make modification of the product just like the HD DLL that happened a few month back.

Even tho they asked for advice on working on it. it's still the people on Enterbrain company who is doing all the hardwork. While degica is just the people who translate it in English.

I know this topic is a bit older, but I think now that the hint in the trailer was for the new released RPG Maker 2000.  :D

I'm thinking it's for 2000 as well since you get a coupon for it in the Game Maker bundle

It could be but then they'd be contradicting the dates they've been placing. Judging by the maker's dates, you can see that the date that the maker appear is of it's creation, not it's release, otherwise 2k3 would be in 2015 instead of being in 2003. So I finish with this quote:

Acknowledging that all the "RPG Maker" installment title cards are pinpointed on exact dates of release, this New RPG Maker appears to be slated for release in the summer or fall. So, this could mean that the next RPG Maker is already finished or in the process of being finished. How they keep something amazing like this under wraps is beyond me...

But man....how could they possibly improve upon ace?....I mean sure, there are certainly things they could improve....but i think thayve pretty much done everything already in past engines...in the 2D realm that is. That said, I really doubt it will be 3D....so what do y'all think will be in the next engine?

Shiroi Akuma, please refrain from necro-posting in a thread. Necro-posting is posting in a thread that has not had posting activity in over 30 days. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.

In addition we already have a thread for what people want/expect in the next engine, we do not need another.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
