Is there a way to add a new skill type in the battle menu alongside the magic and special?
With the help of a specific puglin perhaps?

I think you needed a plugin, but its defenitly possible while I saw some with 3 new addings.
But I think you need yanfly SkillCore for it to work. Im not sure how it works though so I cant explain
that though. But if you read the helpfile, I'm sure you can figure it out.

Absolutely no plugins are needed. Skill types are completely editable within the database. My game, for example, has the following skill types: Summon, White Magic, Black Magic, Battle Magic, Blue Magic, Ninjutsu, Tricks, and a separate Limit Break skill type for every character.

What you need plugins for is a direct command alongside Attack and Defense which directly calls a skill rather than opens a skill selection. Skill types are completely customizable within the editor.

'Game Mechanics Design' is for looking at aspects of game play at a more conceptual level. "How do I...?" (implementation) questions belong in the Support forum for the engine you are using.

I've moved this thread to RPG Maker MV. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.
