New to RPG Maker!

Hi! I’m Deddo, which coincidentally is how I feel at the end of the day after spending it hunched over at my desk like a shrimp. I’m trying to change that, though. Anyway! I’ve always thought about trying out RPG Maker but finally got the time for it (recently got MZ specifically), and after going through the tutorials and seeing the resources everyone has posted up here, I’m really inspired!

Right now I’m just figuring out what I can do in MZ (and trying to resist the temptation to buy assets because they're so gorgeous even if I don't know what I'd do with them though I have so many threads and pages here bookmarked already), but in the meantime, hello and nice to meet everyone

While I just got a proper computer chair... my awful tips for computer shrimping is to have a chair that's too tall for your feet to touch the floor (I do have short people problems tho). Apparently that forces me to scoot forward and sit up straight so I don't fall out every three minutes.

Or, you know...an ergonomic and adjustable computer chair.

Omg, I also have short people problems. But that's actually a great idea?? Since my chair and desk are too low, I tend to sit with my legs crossed under me on the chair, then hunch over... so I should definitely look into that. XD

Good call not to buy assets randomly! I would advice you to carefully plan what you're gonna do beforehand so you have a rather precise idea of what you will need for your game.

Don't hesitate to ask for help here, it's one of the friendliest forums around imo. And remember : there is no stupid question!

Gah, thank you! I keep telling myself that. Knowing myself, I'd Buridan's donkey it and end up not being able to pick what to use, so I'm getting used to the base assets first. (I don't know the first thing about mapping, so I should figure that out anyway.)
