I like the idea of this one a lot - I love that background :)

I think my only problem with it is that the girl's shading feels out of sync with the background's. The background's shading is mostly monochromatic, while the girl's has hints of blue in it. While on their own they'd look fine, it makes the two parts feel as though they should be separate drawings.

I agree. I think the reflected light is just about right with the plant, but with the girl it's far too strong and probably shouldn't be blue anyway. It'd be reflecting off the plant, meaning it should actually be green. It's an interesting picture though, I like the plant's coloring and I like how you used the atmosphere to reinforce the perspective.

I totally agree with you guys too. I am trouble by my landscape and character style, honestly this 2 style is very different and it will be problematic for me if i want to combine them.  Actually when im coloring the blue shade for the girl, im hoping it will blend with the background, but seems it is the latter....I also troubled by CLOUDS.....they are very random honestly, and i don't know where should i start shading them, so in the end i just created a half-assed cloud, im pretty glad this piece not gonna go into my portfolio honestly.....

I think the flat shading of the clouds worked for this piece, too much detail would have detracted from the other aspects of the picture. Clouds can be tricky to shade. Sounds like it's time to do some focused study, since it's something that often bothers you.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
