Hey folks. I was wondering if there was a way to prevent a Game Over when the player reaches 0 outside of pre-made battles from the event page. Not sure if I'm just missing the option somewhere or there just isnt an option available.

Basically what I want, is for the player to be teleported to a pre-designated area when they are killed. I tried setting up an event in the troop lost for when the player's hp <= 0 to run the common event, but as soon as he dies, he gets the game over screen.

Any help would be greatful.

That is because the state "death" is processed before the troop event can check the HP value.
Please look at the hints in that area, they give details on how to prevent that.

Basically you need to give the actor (or boss monster) an immunity to death, then check the HP in the troop event condition.

If you want the player/enemy to be killed after that troop event is processed, then you need to remove the resist and kill the enemy/player in that troop event - otherwise I would set a switch for an after-battle-common event to transfer the player to that special map and abort the battle.

Awsome! I don't know why I didn't think to make the player immune to death lol. So I got it to not give me a game over, just gotta figure out why my common event won't run, sure I can figure that out however. Thanks for the help. Can close topic if you guys want.

Just got that working too. Good to close

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
