My direction with this game jam is pretty much set in stone but I'm concentrating to make my entry as quality as possible even if there's no real reward.
Second major map (the town lake) is in prototype and (almost all) the characters are now equipped with proper expressions.
Haven't started on cutscenes, gameplay or even dialogue yet, but if I pace myself it should be fine.

Looks like I won't be able to participate in this event like I thought I would.
Turns out running a farm in spring and being in the health care field during a pandemic means I have very little time or energy left at the end of the day.. haha!
I'm looking forward to everyone else's releases though!

So....um....you guys are going to finish your games, right? It would be an awkward game jam if there ended up only being two entries. It'd be somewhat difficult for the people on the review end of the jam to get three reviews in if there are only two games.
Given this situation, I have a few questions:
Can game authors write a review for their own game?
Could somebody maybe write multiple reviews for the same game?
I mean, because if people could get the badge for writing three reviews of Elsbeth's Small World each, that'd be awesome.

Generally I tend to be slow at game dev but I'm going to try to finish my game by the end of the 25th, though I can't promise anything.
So far I'm not hitting the 30 minutes of gameplay, though since it's not a hard rule I think it'll be okay.

I wouldn't worry too much at this point. There is still 11 days left and most entries to these kind of things make it in the last couple of days.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
