    Hey all,
So long story short, I'm trying to set up a "pet shop" in my game that will allow players to buy pets as followers, not battlers. They won't be able to be seen at all in the menu, they will just be there for looks and that's it. I have it set that my followers aren't visible as I'm not a fan of the caterpillar effect. I will have a total of 4 people in my party, but they won't actually follow the main character. Any ideas on how I could set this up? I'm using the latest version of MV right now.

    Thanks all!

Well, you can have an event for each "pet slot" in the maps and move them along with the player but that would mean you need to do it on all maps... Or you'd write it in a scripted move set in a parallel common event but the pet events would preferably need to have the same ID for all maps...

or try to find/request a plugin for it

I actually figured it out! I spent a while searching around, but with the help of Yanfly's Party System and DreamX's follower options, I was able to use both plugins to figure it out. It took a lot of testing, but i finally got it. I did try Hime's Guest Follower plugin too, but I wasn't able to get the effect i wanted with it, kept searching and found DreamX's Follower Options and it worked like a charm for what I wanted done!

    If anyone is interested,
I set my maximum followers to 5 in Yanfly's Party System, as i didn't want more than 1 companion following at a time. After that, I use DreamX's Follower Options to set my three other actors to not follow me. For the companions, I was able to set them to follow, but not show up in the menu or in battle. I may have done this the long way, but nontheless, it worked and I'm stoked! :D

    Thanks all! 1.png

@Uzuki - Does it also work on RPG maker vx ace? I was also planning on doing something like this. Escort missions are pain in the ass if your little VIP requires a lot of "Follow me" button. haha~ Though, i also plan on keeping them in the menu but not allowed in combat. Reason: My little VIP is a villager child. haha~

Ace uses scripts, not plugins, and they're not interchangeable because they're two different coding languages. Luckily for you, there is a guest script for Ace you can use: https://mrbubblewand.wordpress.com/rgss3/party-guests/

@Uzuki - Cool~ Thanks~ Time to test control branches with it. I still want the midget to leave the party once the escort is done. Thanks for this anyways.

@MegaBits - Where did you find DreamerX's Follower Options? Is it only in script-form?
