Coming from RPG Maker, I'm kind of confused on how choices are handled in here. Is it not possible to contain the different outcomes of a choice in the same scene without the game going over all of them, or am I supposed to create a new scene for each outcome?

To give a visual example of what I mean, this is what it'd look like if I made it in RPG Maker. It isolates the choice outcomes, and then moves on with the rest of the event, but in VN Maker it goes over both choices if I pick the top one if they're contained in the same scene.

Isn't it amazing how little amount of people read tutorials?
There isn't much explained in VNMaker's help file, but it is explained that these things are handled via Label and Jump to label.
For example this is how it is handled if these two choices have no real impact on the storyline.
Choice 1:
stuff happening
Jump to label Foo
Choice 2:
Stuff happening

Label Foo
continuation of the story

The same thing can also be well used in RPG maker btw. and I used it a lot in RM2003 (in RMMV I prefer Javascript instead).

Lol, true. I always forget there are tutorials for about anything. Hmm, labels. I do use them sometimes in RPG Maker, but only if absolutely necessary. Anyway, thanks, lol.

And actually the first thing I do is check the help files for tutorials :D Although it is true I'm not wise from VNMaker's tutorials. And I found a total chaos in VNMaker's engine itself.

Thanks, for some reason the manual won't open when I try it from the program. I tried making a choice, but when jumping to the response, the text continues on the dialogue that was already there.
Picture showing the first choice (same happens when selecting the other choice), and a screenshot of the result in a test play:

When that happens, go to VNMaker (Steam\steamapps\common\Visual Novel Maker\help) and search for index.htm. Set a default browser to open it. Then the manual should work.

Add a clear message command before or after the choices OR change Message Settings to Auto Erase -> yes. Action Based UI disables auto erasing IIRC. Any of these two commands are OK. Don't use them together, I'm just showing an image of the commands.

As for the choices just going straight, you need to add another jump label after each choice ends. I'm pretty sure the manual says that. Anyway, just in case:

Oh, I got it now. And yeah, I did get the labels right, they just didn't show on the screenshot.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
