Notes in the Item menu

Hey everyone :elswt:
so I wanted the player to access the notes after they read them from the item menu. I remember someone saying something about creating a common event with the text in the note , then link it with the item.
The problem is, whenever the player reads the note again, it will increase the number of it and I don't want that, I want it to be stored only once. How can I solve this ?

Do you have the note being added in the common event? That could be the problem. Instead, have the event give the player the note item and then turn a self-switch on, so that the player can't just keep picking up the note. Some screenshots of how you set the event up would be really helpful.

So you want the player to revieve notes and then read them from the item menu?
What you can do is after adding the note, set self switch A on. Make a new event page with condition self switch A on. Now the player can't access the note grom the map. In the items, just see the effects (Don't remember the name). There will be an option to set a common event. Whenever you select the note that common event will play

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
