Oh, you mean the one that I did the front view of? I'd love to see more of those! I just swapped heads and reduced the color count and modified the hues appropriately.
Yes, I meant those ones. I think the XP in DS style (the small ones) would be pretty neat for dwarves :)

I loved the taller ones as well though, so gonna try that out too.

Theo - that's a neat looking script. I'm not familiar with that type of system - can you tell me more about it?

R4B - That looks adorable! What graphics are those?

Met my old October goal today (finish Chapter 2 of my game). Now onto bug testing of chapter 2 and writing up the details to the story for chapter 3, as it has a start and an end, but the middle is still a ?

My goal is to get this Project RMW World thing up and running real good.

Timeline

4/11 = Badges + Prizegiving (1st,2nd,3rd prizes)

4/11 - 11/11 = Lore + Concept Thread

11/11 - 18/11 = Game Mechanics + Location Lore Thread

18/11 - 25/11 = Location Info + Quest Info Thread

25/11 - 1/12 = Quest Info Thread

Hopefully, by the end of all this, we'll have quests, locations and game mechanics sorted out to get into the bulk of the game, followed by dungeon mapping and so on. It's gonna be rad.

@slimmmeiske2: Oh, I didn't even think of dwarves. I just did the chibi XP style as an extension of trying out the tall DS style for pure amusement. Great idea.

November 2, 2014: Ok, I've done a lot today haha (to me, idk if it's really a lot lol), it is 11:26 PM, but still on time, haha. First, I've made a facial expressions system, something I haven't done before except I did it once with a character. For normal characters, It is 12 different facial expressions, and 4 for characters with eyesbrows completedly blocked, like soldiers, since their eyebrows don't show. Also, I've made 15 soldiers with their 4 facial expressions, and their front and rear hair and different from each other. I've also made that the important character's front and/or rear hair can't be the same of anyone, so they are unique, while the normal may be repeated, since I don't have unlimited combinations of front and rear hairs (with the front and rear hairs limited, not using all hairs available in there). The characters within the scenario don't have their 12 different facial expressions ready yet, except for Michael, Trad and Abimael (Trad and Abimael aren't in the photo, just so you know lol), since I was running out of time, I wanted to post here before 12 PM, the next day. Also, I've learned alone how to merge the facial expressions in the same picture  by messing around with Game Character Hub, lol. I didn't made the characters outside or haven't started the scene, but I've made something better :) . Also, I've made a new character that interacts with the scene, which is Trad.

November 3, 2014: Even with school, I could things :) . (good that didn't got direct homework for tomorrow lol) I've finished 12 expressions for the characters that didn't had it that were within the scenario, and also did the scene completedly :) Now, have to make the outside characters (by that I mean characters not directly in the scenario, like NPCs wandering around), and then, the outside, hah, haven't made it yet. Here is a video of the scene (by the way, sorry for the low quality, wasn't using the recorder I use, and it really wasn't lagging but it lagged on video, lol, and sorry that it's spanish, didn't got time to translate it since it's close to 12 PM, and haven't added music yet):

I got a little bit of work done, I suppose. I've been working on a scene for my intro:

And no, he isn't the main character of the RPG. Can you imagine how easy an RPG that would be, if for every forest in the game, all you had to do was walk in a straight line because the treetops were at shoulder height? No, it's just William looking at Draggy, a large red dragon, wondering if they should return to the lakeshore where his human friend, Thomas is, or if they should go to the nearby town where the actual hero is.

Draggy = Of course there would be a dragon in Dragon Kingdoms. The party might even ride him when they're not busy riding on William's shoulders (literally).

My plans for November are all related to The Vendor:

  • Redesign mockups and reconsiderations of UI and UX throughout the game
  • Mockup testing of the Visual Story Synopsis Battle System (fancy title, not really a battle system but it sounds nice right?)
  • World lore expansions
  • Core gameplay restructuring and reconsiderations
November will be the month of mockups and design briefs (not to be confused with the underwear kind), and hopefully lot of exciting screenshots to share with everyone!

Added an alternate route to chapter 2 today. Ran out of time to test it though, so I think I'm about to be very surprised at what happens when I get off work and test the alternate route and the original route to make sure they both work together well.

November 4, 2014: Ok, I got less time today, but good progress is what is important :) . I've done for now the outside characters in the base, which are 8, with the 12 expressions each. Some had to use the same front and/or rear hair of some soldiers because of hair limits. For now, the base things have been completed, now next step would be the outside.

Prototyping the AoE selection for Grid Battle System :D

Edit :
P.S I don't have a goal to finish this battle system at this month. Considering I will have some final project from my college. I don't have any plan yet when I'm gonna release this system

November 5, 2014: Well, lots of things happened irl, but I've started making the exterior :) I think it's not good, don't know how to do it properly lol so suggestions are welcome :) (except for some things, like removing the trees or water, it is intended lol).

I'll add my 11/5 update too: Managed to test that alternate route, then the original. The original meshed perfectly, but the alternate route I reversed the switches I need (I accidentally turned on switch 21 and not 22). Also had one scene set to action button when it is supposed to be player touch. Got those fixed, and the alternate route is working now.

Now working on the polish to chapters 1 and 2. However, Chapter 3 uses chapter 1's maps too (though now you can go to some closed areas from chapter 1), so I now need to make sure I can put all that material on the maps and not break anything. This weekend might be interesting....

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
