So I'm pretty new to RPG Maker and I had this horror game where an NPC is going to chase you through a maze, inside it, there are specific areas I want the NPC to be unable to go through but is passable by the player. Does anyone know the simplest way to make it happen? Thanks :D

If it's a fairly narrow area, you can just put down an event with no sprite where you want your NPC to stop. Make sure the priority is Below Characters and Through is not checked (these should both happen by default).

An event will not move onto a tile occupied by another event, regardless of priority, unless one of them is set to Through.

If it is a large area without any kind of "bottleneck" to pass through, you might be better off using a script for "region restrictions".

Thank you very much!

yanfly region restrict works well if you want to try that.
There are mods for it as well, that I made, if you search.

Micro rant. The worst part of working from home when you live with your family is seeing how inconsiderate they are. "Hey, you're sitting in front of your computer, that means you're not doing anything! I want to put the TV at 200 decibels!"

If I was working in the office would you still talking me like that?
It's definitely discouraging when streamers give a try-to-say-it-nicely (i.e. bad) review of your game demo. It's like jumping into a cold pool. Bad initally, but it gets better with time. And you are now more alert and see better.
