I'm working on a racing rpg game, and it appears that in races, NPC's (opponents) don't move while offscreen. As you might see, this can be a BIG problem in the race. Can someone please write a script that will allow NPCs to move while offscreen? This might be some help here, I'm making the NPC move with Custom Autonomous Movement. I would also like it to be so that you can move your character while the NPC is moving (onscreen or off).

In default, all events move no matter where on the map they are - that is one of the problems creating lag.

And most of the anti-lag-scripts work by disabling the events beyond a certain range from the player...

So most probably, you don't need a new script but you need to disable the anti-lag-script you intalled in that game...

Depending on what anti-lag-script you're using, some of them have configuration options to make sure that critical events are excluded from being stopped, you might check if that is the case for you and then include that note-tag in the racer's events...

Edit added:

If the NPCs are using only autonomous movement, then your actors can move while they're moving.

Blocking the players actor movement only happens with problems on passability or if you use other forms of movement for the NPCs.

I don't have an anti-lag script installed.

Thanks! It helped out a lot!

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
