NPC wont disappear after event is over

So theres actually two problems.  One is that the characters mom is in two places at once.  You first meet her outside her home, then she goes inside.  I've managed to make her appear in the home (this was quite the feat itself!) but then when i go back outside she's reappeared there.  I literally cannot figure out how to make her go away.  


Also i have a 'character thought bubble' after you find some weapons you were looking for that is basically reminding you to equip it.  I want it to only pop up and be read once, but it just keeps repeating over and over every time you step on the 'event square' that it was made on.  

How can these things be fixed? ;u;

i actually figured that out while I was waiting for this to stop pending and everything is working so much better! xD
