Yes, the two plugins work hand-in-hand. Have you taken a look at OcRam's demo? Time is affecting the sunrise/sunset.
Thank you for the reply, so, this plugin will allow me to insert the overlays for different times of day/night?

My intention is to have an effect similar to this for caverns and ruins, I know people have said to multiply the size of my screen to get the image size for the overlay, but that seems HUGE,lol I just want to know does the overlay really need to be 4x the size of the screen? visrange_zps9d016c50.jpg

Yes, that’s a function that comes with OcRam light. Look in the light plugin, you can have a light following the player.

Anywho, to answer your question: You play the BGS or BGM and setup the volume, just as usual:

And I mean map (tileset) notetags. You can write

<bgm:music,music,birds,night>

but cannot change volume.

There isn't a way currently to trigger these natively but what you could do is make the event parallel process and have a conditional branch checking for your hour/day variable to be equal to whatever you want the trigger to be, and if so turn on a self switch that goes to another page where your event does whatever it does during that hour/day. If you do this, though, you'll also have to have a general-purpose parallel process event on the map which checks for the hour/day *not* being that, and turn that event's self switch off if so.

@Trihan Yes, this is what I tried to do in parallel process.
I wanted fireflies to appear at 11 p.m.
But I'm doing it wrong.
Once that was understood I could apply it to other things.

It's a shame that Selection Control will not be ported to MZ. I found a neat way of using it to enable ways for tanks to protect squishies. lol
Lately I have been taking a break from game and resource making so I won't get burnt out. But I am also interested in the Game Jams this site periodically holds. It'd be great if I knew when the next one, if any, is planned.
