Off and running!! Only one issue!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this site as well to the software. So far I've been able to limp around on common sense and a lot....as you are more than likely aware of, A LOT of reading. But alas I've hit a snag. The default items and tile sets are not allowing me to do what i want visually with my story. I've noticed a lot of tile designers in the little bit of forums I have ventured into, bravely I might add, and well was wondering how one goes about the creation or original content for their game. Or, how does one make use of tiles that are offered? I'm very sorry if this is the wrong forum for this. By the way, did i mention I'm new?

scroll down to the Extras section and the last 4 tutorials there might be helpful It's for adding custom tilesets to the game and the last 3 is a guide on making your own tiles

Before you get resource packs, there is a ton of stuff that's free if you go through the resource section of the forum.

Your question is a rather broad one. I suggest you look through some of the tutorials and the VX Ace Support forum, and search to see who else has asked similar questions. If you can't find anything, then post a more specific question in the appropriate forum. And remember there's a help file with the engine too, that covers some of this stuff.
