Is it installed to "X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RPG Maker MV\" ?

You can copy it somewhere else, or have Steam install it somewhere else. (Option 2)

For example. I have all my Steam software installed to D: drive. I created a steam Library folder on C and D drive. So steam just works regardless if it's on C or D.
I moved RPG Maker MV to a new location and it still crashes at startup.

I'm having issues with garbled muisc and sounds; both with the sound test and when running a game test. The files themselves play fine. I've included a short video showing exactly whats going on, along with a system report.
can you also send this to tech support?

This literately means your computer is too slow. What you're hearing is the audio buffer looping because the audio data isn't updating fast enough. However looking at your CPU suggests this shouldn't even be happening. Does this happen only with the USB headset plugged in?

Started in the default Office 2F sample room (loaded into MV, started character there) but I receive the error 

Failed to load: img/characters/!SF_Door2.png.

Also happened in the Office 1F room and the Hospital room.

check base resources folder. They're all in there.

Hello, I have a bug to report

There is an audio bug, I can preview it normally before starting a test battle ... but in-game it doesn't play. It's a few specific musics, I tried renaming from: "Bring It On" to "Bring_It_On" but no difference. Any ideas?

I already posted my bug to a thread, but that was before I saw this. I have 2 bugs both related to the Yanfly's-YEP_ItemCore Plugin. When I have this plugin enabled, my characters do not start out with their initial equipment. I had believed this may be due to variance between items, however when I set the Random Variance to 0, it still did not work. The second bug is that I cannot set Max Items to 0 with Max Weapons and Max Armors more than 0. I get a bug as soon as I start the game.

EDIT: Just changed Max Items, Weapons, and Armor, all to 200, and it still gives me this error!

check your volume mixer and see if the game.exe audio is not muted :)

Heya! There was actually a few updates made to the plugins. If you visit my site, you should be able to get the most recent update that fixes this problem!~

Posted this in a thread, but received no answers, so I'm assuming it's a bug. Putting a.add_state(n) or b.add_state(n) in a skill formulae doesn't function.

Do you have anything else on your system that uses QT? Looks like at this point you might want to try the last suggestion in that thread and create a qt.conf, but I'm not sure if that actually would fix this problem since I'm not experiencing it.
That also did not work.

I do not believe I have anything else on this machine that uses QT. This machine was built just for RPG Maker and Unity Game engine. Unless Unity uses QT or RPG Maker Ace does then no I do not.

I fixed this. It's the european decimal symbol that cause it. Just head to Region Settings ---> Additional settings and Change , to a . instead. Since Rpg maker MV uses this form to type decimals: 100.0%

Uh as I said, the problem is specific the music in-game. I can hear the menu, attack sounds etc. Strange is that the preview BGM works fine, but when I go test the battle it doesn't start.

I don't know what I did now, but I seem to have fixed it.

Oh, THAT did it! Thank you so much! :D

I was thinking I have to change the "1.000.000" to "1000000", but changing the "," to "." for decimal numbers did the trick!

Awesome, but you did miss one in the Core engine that we mentioned earlier in this topic that halts playback if you turn off the TP meter. The fix: in YEP_CoreEngine, in the function Window_SkillStatus.prototype.refresh, where it says "rect.height", change it to just "h". (There is no "rect" defined.)

The most annoying bug is with the database and changing values. I am in Germany, so I use the German version of my OS. When I want to change a numbered value, for example a parameter value of a weapon, the database crashed and then RPG Maker MV.

A workaround is to switch the hole OS language to English. But I don't want to change my hole OS for an error made by you which could be easily detected with proper beta testing. With this bug it is impossible to work on the own project with making own weapons, despite the 4 premade ones. Please fix that soon, please not just in 2-3 months. Thank you.

Not only this starts at 1000% when they should be 100%, but they also crash the game if I try to correct them:

Sorry for being in spanish, steam don't allow me to change the langyage of the program, but that is "attack element" Iyt happens if I try to edit ANY of the numeric % inputs...

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
