I have found it very difficult to find how to offset a 32x32 PC sprite.

I want to offset my sprites up by 7 pixels upwards to centre the sprites on the tiles more.

Like so:

(Although this is an easy edit with child sprites I want this for all the sprites)

I know a way to make it look offset this but I have to manually edit each tile I need (Essentially, I would have to offset EVERYTHING ELSE 7 pixels down).

Like so:

This requires more space because of the extra 7x32 pixel tiles so I would have to have small locations, which would limit my creativity.

So how could I offset sprites upwards to avoid this hassle and limitation?

The engine AUTOMATICALLY offsets people sprite, no need to do anything special.

Just use one of the object sprites (for example the door sprites but basically any sprite whose filename starts with ! in the list) next to one of the NPC-sprites and you'll see that the NPC sprite is offset several pixels higher.

If the default offset is not what you like, ask for a tiny script that changes that number.

NEVER offset things by changing the sprite itself, that will cause a lot more headaches because the grid that is used for movement and collision and so on.

This is precisely what I need, should I just make a new thread?

yes, because it needs to be in script request and more info as to what it should do from you. moving this one would still miss the details

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
