I didn't see that this subsection of the forum existed, so, I guess I should give a formal hello.
So, hi! The name's Aus. Or Rai, because some people call me that. Whichever you want, really.
I only started toying with RPG Maker VX Ace a matter of months ago, and a lot of that was raw experimentation--figuring out what I could and couldn't do, getting used to the system, failing to figure out scripts, etc. I have never been introduced to RPG Maker's older iterations, nor have I played with IG Maker, and I only have bare-bones skills with scripting or spriting. I'm pretty much as useless and unskilled as they come, but I love building and designing things, so, I'm here.
Nevertheless, recently, I've started working on my first game that I actually intend to publish. As usual, a lot of it is way over my head (I always bite off more than I can chew, you see) and I'm sure I'm a solid year away from it being finished. But I have challenged myself to complete it, and I will.
If you're, for some reason, curious about anything, feel free to ask. Otherwise, I'm happy to meet you and I hope I get to know you over the course of however long I'm here!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
