Omnis - The Erias Line contains several instances of strong language and some instances of light gore.

Between 2 and 3 hours.

While there may still be a few minor bugs or other issues, the demo has been thoroughly beta tested and is complete. As it stands, the 15th is the latest version and features heavy improvements over the previous incarnation.

S T O R Y

Orphan and Skyler have arrived in Verdamm after a decade of travel, looking for a place to settle. But they find it to be far from the utopia they were expecting. Before they have a chance to escape they are forcefully recruited into the 'Operatives' - a covert network of mercenaries and desperate killers born from the city's savage depression.

Their first assignment sets them on a path that will pit them, and their bond, against events that are spiraling out of control.

To survive they must fight for lesser evils and for each other, all while enduring the sinister fascination of a strange and sinister intelligence - an entity obsessed with testing the limits of their love and proving that it can be utterly broken...

  • Characters with custom, individual mechanics and features within a turn-based battle format. Two of these mechanics are already included (Orphan's Knife Skills require button combos to be inputted by the player and Dillon's compounds have to be crafted before they can be used.) In the finished game:
________________________________________________________________________________+ As the party's "tank", Skyler will be able to devote 'Focus Points' to her defense at the cost of speed and attack power.

  • + As the party's "healer", Regan will become more proficient at curing status ailments as she encounters a wider range of afflictions.

  • + Nadime, who uses a bow, will be able to choose where on the scale of  'power vs. accuracy' each of his shots lies.
    ___________________________________________

[*]Experience a variety of seamless game play types within the framework of classic JRPG mechanics: exploration, character customisation, simple LOS stealth sections, pocket-picking, item crafting, stealing, races against time, solving a variety of simple or challenging puzzles, lore collection and discovery of a huge range of optional story, scenes and material.

[*]Make crucial decisions that will influence how your characters interact and how key scenes will unfold.

[*]Buy/find/discover key items in game that may also have an effect on how later events play out.

Hey all - sorry I've not been on here for a few days, things are maddeningly busy managing all of OMNIS's sites (tumblr, imgur, twitter, facebook.....etc)

In reverse order, if I may:

I'm really looking forward to watching this. I've had a quick browse through, noticed there are some good points to be working with (even at a glance). Fate has conspired to make me far too busy today (I'm not complaining, one year anniversary with my GF). I'll probably post it about and tweet the **** out of it when I get a chance. Thanks so much for taking the time to record the vid. I would have liked to be present, but that's my own fault for being late to the party haha.

Would you be interested in playing again when I've worked through the points raised?

To echo the sentiment in my first reply, it's staggering how busy promotion and such is keeping me. I'm a total fool for forgetting this forum for so long, getting OMNIS up here was long overdue!

LATEST UPDATE:

======================

Version 16 is finished, and it addresses a lot of the concerns raised in HuntingSwan's video.

Directions are (hopefully) clearer, the time limit (which I came to see as a touch arbitrary) has been axed and there are no more random encounters - enemies appear on-map first and be fought/avoided/outrun.

The link is the same, so if anyone who's had a go would have another and let me know what they think, that'd be fantabulous.

Cheers, enjoy!

Fueled solely by my enthusiasm for and confidence in the game itself, it's hard to gauge. Well, i think, but then I see some games getting way more downloads and it keeps me realistic.

For new and old readers alike, a crash has been pointed out to me. It's easily avoided (don't talk to the group of three squatters standing around a bin fire) and it's also super easy to fix (a silly oversight on my part) and will be vanished from version 17, coming tomorrow.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
