I want to make an event that occurs on 100 TP.  Specifically, I want the character to be affected by a state I'll refer to as State 26, as the State's id is 26.  State 26 is meant to give the character a boost to all parameters for 3 turns, at which point the state ends and TP is dropped to 0.  How would I make such a thing happen?

Hmmm there are many ways to do such a thing.


I suggest Common Events.


You can call a common event, by another common event right?


You can also call a common event from an event. Right?


Check onEvent Commands, Page 1 at Flow Control to find Call common event.


So a workaround is to have to make a common event do the magic, then call it on an every-turn-event during battle.


How will you do that then?


You go to the Database/Troops and voila!!! You can make eventing for all troops. You HAVEE to include it everywhere. though. If that is much work to do, you have to ask for a script doing something similar. If you are lucky, someone can set you up all right. Unfortunately I can't code in Ruby.

Thanks for the help.  I found I could change variables to be equal to Actors and Enemy's stats, but unfortunately, TP was not among those options.  I've ultimately decided I'll have to make a script that checks for an actor or enemy's TP and then writes that value to a variable, but other than that, everything should go smoothly

I think after I get this game done, I'm going to take a long vacation from game development. It feels great to see the coding skills get better and it is fun - but god it is also so exhausting.
Just advertising that I released version 0.9 of my game yesterday, for feedback purposes. My first game or creative endeavor ever :D Would be cool if someone tries it out!

Even though the game is cancelled, I'm still doing art in my spare time and seeing how it'd look.

It's a lot of fun. Wish I could be an artist!
