I'm not particularly sure if there is a script already made for something like this(if there is, then I just didn't see it, or notice it..or, I did notice it, and just misinterpreted its usage), but I was wondering if a script has been made for Ace, where when it's the player's turn instead of picking each actor's commands in a row all at once, only one actor would be able to be given commands. This goes for the enemies as well. Basically, only one actor or enemy would take part instead of the party, and that would count as that actor's turn, and then move onto the next actor or enemy, depending on agility.

Is this doable, or has it already been done? Or, is there a way I can set up battles like this?  :unsure:

Here's an example of what I mean:

The highlighted portrait means that it's that character, and that character alone's turn, rather than them being able to take part all at once.

You could modify pretty much any atb/ctb battle system out there to function like that. Fomar has an ctb script that could get that effect quite easily, basically you just make sure to turn the atb option off and set all skills to consume the default amount (1000 I think) and edit the return for the portion that deals with stamina gain self_stamina_gain(battler) to suite whatever stamina variance you want. (or leave it alone, but the agility differences will by default be not subtle, letting characters with 1.5 or more times agility easily get two+ attacks per each of the lower agi battlers one.)  If you wanted them to be pretty much even then making agility a pretty much static value (like say 100, with a variance of +-10 to account for faster/slower characters) should result in faster characters getting their turns first but without to that many repeat attacks, though obviously that would require experimentation to figure out exactly.

I...can't seem to use this. It conflicts with Yanfly's Battle System, and when I take that out, it doesn't highlight which actor's turn it is(making me have to guess, lol). I've also tried Archeia's CTB and that's also incompatible with Yanfly's.  ;_;

There is actually a yanfly compatible version of Fomar's script, if I'd known you were using yanfly's battle engine I'd have posted that link instead. http://cobbtocs.co.uk/wp/?p=73
I feel dumb for not mentioning it in my first post! Didn't notice that he had an add-on version..haha. Thanks for the help, this works perfectly! :D

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
