One character's faceset not showing up in battle

I'm not entirely sure why this happens, and no matter what I do only that one guy's faceset won't show up:





I'm not even sure what could've caused this. When I open up his status page the faceset shows up just fine there. I changed the faceset to a different face and it's still not showing up. If there's script issues, then it should be the battle script? I use Tankentai, OriginalWij's battling pet script, Dark Gaia's Face HUD...

Any chance the guy just doesn't have a face allocated, or that something happens that removes it? Is it a "standard" actor - no player choice of what they look like that adds a specific actor to the party or changes their appearance?

Woops! Sorry...

It's a standard actor. All the actors, aside from the girl, have the same setup. I just imported the samurai charsets and facesets.

Can't find the Tankentai script anymore. I picked it up from RMVX.net, but the website's dead now.

I also had a bunch of menu scripts, but I didn't think those affected the battle... Here's how the manu screens look:

Is there only one girl? I can't tell from that if the one who's not showing up is one of the "all the actors who have the same setup" or "the girl".


If you want to zip up your project and PM me a link (don't post it here, as it has the Samurai resources in it), I can take a look at it tomorrow or over the weekend and see if I can find the issue.

THe one not showing up is the black-haired dude with the ponytail (whose name is "Puppy" in the menu). I put the eyepatch guy's faceset on him as placeholder, and that's the one not showing up.

I tried making a new actor and the same problem's happeneng. I also noticed that the guy with the green hair is actually showing the wrong faceset. It would appear that the engine's trying to show the image that's to the LEFT of the faceset. I don't understand why the ninja nad the demonic guy shows up the proper images just fine, tho.
