My detective game is coming along nicely.
@Thomas Smith I'm already doing well, too. Mine I plan on being a short prologue standalone game to my main story projects.
@Thomas Smith @JtheDuelist That's great!
Meanwhile mine is a pretty dumb game. But hopefully it'll be playable. XD
That's a great idea.
BTW, the true criminal in my game is -
Oh wait. You'll have to wait until the game comes out to know!
@SmashArt I'm making a game called 'Harold Makes a Sandwich', so your game will not be alone in the dumb game category.
@hiddenone Woah! My game is "Harold Grows a Tree" XD Love how we're thinking alike!
I don't have any title for my game yet.
But I will soon
My entry's title will be "Downfall FES Prologue: Fyrir Allt" (translated from Icelandic: "Downfall FES Prologue: Before Everything")
Progressing nicely myself, already finished storyboarding and started making (well, using lazy gimp techniques to alter) graphics. You will play as a ghost haunting a long abandoned domicile (back story of ghost is up to the player to decide) as a single father and his daughter move in and begin renovating it into their home. Gonna let you do all kinds of classic ghost stuff such as screwing with electronics, throwing plates, invading dreams (text adventure minigame) and befriending children for nefarious (or maybe even not nefarious) purposes such as scaring the new occupants away or finding a way to coexist...or just watch them benignly for a week until the house changes to the point where you can't stay there anymore and are forced to go to...wherever ghosts go when they can't haunt the living anymore.
This is such a cool random challenge, I haven't felt this creative in months.
Also, the Monty Python reference in the tags compels me to include such a reference in my game as well, surely that was its intent. Maybe some of the dream invasion choices will be turning their dreams into Monty Python skits.
This going to take most of my cunning... No, no, ALL my cunning.
I'm already almost done. Just have to finish one more suspect!
@thomas Great! Btw, since this is my first time deploying I'm not sure how I should show my game to the public. Was thinking maybe itch.io? Though as I'm trying to download to dropbox it's taking a really long time. :\
@SmashArt use itch.io or rpgmaker.net its free and more people will check out your game than a drop box link.
I'm going to use itch.io.
@OnslaughtSupply @Thomas Smith Thanks guys! Just one problem! Just not sure which of the files itch.io needs. It doesn't seem to like folders. (sorry this is my first time uploading a game ever)
Going to try this challenge out and work on it throughout the week. Wonder if I can get it down to just 1 map, 1 variable, 1 switch and 1 event...
MV? After export, Zip up your games new output folder titled your game's name and hit submit.
@OnslaughtSupply Thank you!
@SmashArt No problem.
@Touchfuzzy is encryption allowed? I tend to use DLC, where in the EULA I have to encrypt.
Goodness, you folks are finishing your games so fast! I could never reach that kind of pace...
