I found your game through your request thread on the other forum, and I have to say that this looks fantastic.  :o   The graphics are beautiful, and the survival system is awesome.

Thanks! I'm guessing the 20th for a demo is probably a crazy longshot now (unless either I become an experienced spriter in a week or I find someone willing to do them all in that timeframe) but it hopefully shouldn't be too long.

You might wanna contact one of the people who make sprites directly. I'm gonna suggest Holder, or Charlesthehurst, since you said you can pay for them. That might speed things up a bit. :D

Other good news, I NOW HAVE A SPRITER~ things can begin to move a bit more forward now. I knoooow I said I'd have a demo out a few days ago, but I really, really want it to be polished and rather substantial. I'll make it as much worth the wait as I can!

A new feature has also been added, which will affect the entire story as you play. It's pretty much a relationship system with each survivor. I was originally going to implement a morality kinda thing but I think these work a lot better. It's gonna add a looooot more work to the game with all the variables that'll be included, but it'll be worth it! Siding with a certain character may lead to the death of another - situations like that I really want to focus on. I think they give a lot more depth rather than a black and white choice, especially with the isolation I'm going for really making you FEEL CONNECTIONS with the characters whenever they pop up.

More news, I went ahead and scrapped the ABS and am maintaining the 'killing things through puzzles or sneaking past them' scenario. To that effect, all encounters are pretty much event based, and it's not gonna be 'ONE HIT NOW YOU DEAD' kinda stuff, it's working out to be a lot more like Ib where you can maintain some punishment before a game over.

...annnd that's all the news.

I HAVE to side with Dahlia. If she turns out evil I might go flip your computer or something. I think I had the most fun drawing her so I really really hope she's a good gal (not good like good vs evil kind, but you know what I mean) at the end of all this.

Hooray! A strong female character with a partially shaved head, whodathunkit!

But yeah she's one of my favourites too. Actually, I think out of everyone, Victor and her'll be the two most 'I want to HELP THESE PEOPLE' situations. The surgeon's more of a 'hrrrrm' character, and if anything, Henry'll be the one to watch out for. That's not really a spoiler or anything, but out of everyone he's the 'darkest', for lack of a better adjective.

But hey, you can go ahead and decide to kill anyone at any time if you feel that way inclined, so there you go. (I might keep that idea in and I might not, my god the variables)

I can't promise too much but I'm intending on getting some form of demo out in the next three weeks, Let's say the 20th of July. We'll see how that goes.
Eagerly awaiting this. This game is extremely impressive. Great work here for you and your team :)

I really love Dahlia's design. Especially her really unique-looking tattoos. She reminds me a bit of Jack from Mass Effect bus less GRIM DARK.

Thank youuuu. It's getting there. Demo date has been pushed back on account of waiting on sprites and stuff, but it'll be worth it with the quality of them :)

Phew, sorry for the absence everyone. This is still pushing ahead though. Got the regular walking sprites for the cast members so I can start basing maps around them now.



Some RTP size objects need a little overhaul in terms of size compared to the sprites, but they look sexy <3

Also some stills from a cutscene currently in the works. The maps in TV aren't being used in the real thing, just an example for example's sake. Need to work on the wood texture a little more.





I also set up a tumblr for my gam mak if you're interested.

It's shuffling along. I'm trying to get as much polish as possible before it's out (i.e sprites, voice acting - it's mostly on aesthetic things now~)
